G-BOAD leaves EGLL for last time

10 November 2003, a Concorde heads off across the Atlantic.

Concorde G-BOAD starts her last ever flight, climbing away above the trees where I work, near to Heathrow, she arcs into the sky with the familiar road of those Olympus engines. A few days later, she would have her engines removed and be hoisted onto a barge, for a quick trip around the bay in New York, before berthing in the dock next to the ‘Intrepid’. Hope they don’t let her rust…
